The musical poetry album

The musical poetry album - the interactive karaoke talk with Düsseldorf women

Big jazz special in cooperation with the Lovebird Festival

Guest: Mascha Corman

Düsseldorf has lots of great women! In the series of events “The Musical Poetry Album”, the purple glitter carpet is rolled out for some of them. Six times a year, this series of events features women who help shape urban society in a variety of ways and make Düsseldorf a more colorful and livable place. In a wild mix of talk and karaoke evening together, the guests are given the opportunity to present themselves and their life and work. Together, we open the respective guest's musical poetry album and sing songs together with the audience that have accompanied the talk guest over the course of her life.

Musically, anything is possible: From Hildegard Knef to Sepultura, from Madonna to Doctors to The Beatles... Every evening is unique, as is the respective guest.

We are looking forward to Masha Corman in June. She is an artist, curator and music educator. Her interest is collaborative creation — what is created at the moment of encounter. She enjoys interdisciplinary work, moves between the arts and feels at home in their diversity.

What drives her? “What drives me is the hope that people will treat each other with more love and understanding. A pious wish, yes — but one that I mean seriously. ”

Her new project will be on stage in Düsseldorf in October - her album Endlichkeit will be released at the same time.

The June edition is a grandiose special of the “Musical Poetry Album”. The event will take place as part of the Lovebird Festival.

Four experienced jazz musicians are on stage this time, who will perform our guest's songs in a jazzy way.

The evening will be hosted by Käthe Lorenz and Pia Schwierz. Vocal and musical accompaniment: Franka von Werden, Tim Steiner, Flori Steiner, Tobi Müller.
