Mitsune

Mitsune is a Japanese folk fusion ensemble from Berlin, whose members come from Japan, Australia and Greece. Led by a powerful duo of shamisen players, accompanied by percussion and double bass, Mitsune is a musical and visual celebration that combines Japanese folk song, psychedelia, raw emotions, decadent costumes and evocative stories. Her album Hazama” from 2022 was praised by Rolling Stone and Songlines magazines, nominated for the German Record Critics Award and reached the top 10 of the Transglobal World Music Charts. The release of a follow-up album is planned for 2025.
