The duo Alba Armengou & Ramon Macià offers a musical journey to the American continent, which takes the audience to Cuba (Bolero), Brazil (Samba), the USA (Swing, Bebop and Soul), Mexico (Ranchera) and Argentina (Argentinian folklore). This represents a conscious commitment to musical syncretism with an unconventional European aesthetic. Djavan, Mart'inália, Natalia Lafourcade, Ray Charles and Fats Waller are just a few of the composers they interpret, arranged for one or two voices, trumpet, piano and guitar. Alba Armengou sings with her enchanting voice in four languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and Portuguese. Singer, trumpeter and saxophonist, trained in the famous Sant Andreu Jazz Band and ESMU, she has already recorded over 20 albums. Ramon Macià is a pianist, keyboardist, singer and composer, trained at ESMUC and the Taller de Músics. He has led numerous projects and albums as a performer, producer and arranger in genres such as pop, jazz, neo-soul, gospel and reggae.
