Conic Rose

Bringing Conic Rose's music into a common formula is almost hopeless. Depending on your field of vision, you could describe it as indie pop, jazz, ambient, electronica or a soundtrack that evokes your own images. It is all together and yet much more than just the sum of the listed styles. Band founder Konstantin Döben describes this phenomenon as both a blessing and a curse. But that is pure understatement, because it is precisely the unmistakability of hoarse trumpet tone on the calm sound surfaces of electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, bass and a stoic drum set. Conic Rose doesn't need a catchword, because the music describes itself.

The magic formula for trumpeter Konstantin Döben and pianist/keyboardist Johannes Arzberger, who know each other from the Clueso band, as well as guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Bertram Burkert, bassist Franziska Aller and drummer Silvan Strauss is a perfect mix of intuitive calculation and calculated intuition.
