Be free. Be friendly. That is the philosophy of the Austrian-based duo freekind., which consists of Croatian pianist and singer Sara Ester Gredelj and Slovenian drummer Nina Korošak-Serčič. They began working together in 2019 with the release of their first single “I'm gonna live.” Their shared love for R'n'B, hip-hop and soul music and their ability to uplift people and give them hope has brought them together. They were promptly met with public interest and their career rapidly picked up steam: in the same year, they were able to see the duo live internationally, for example at various jazz festivals in the Balkans. The first self-produced EP followed in 2020, they are currently working on their first album and won the Music Moves Europe Award at the beginning of 2024.
