Concert rescheduling!

We are very sorry to inform you that the Vincent Peirani - Jokers concert on June 8, 2024 in the Robert Schumann Hall has to be postponed for production reasons. The catch-up date will not be possible until 2025 at the earliest.

After numerous collaborations in duo format, including with Émile Parisien and Michael Wollny or his quintet Living Being, the French jazz musician Vincent Peirani is turning to a new form of musical expression. Together with Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande and Israeli drummer Ziv Ravitz, Peirani performs under the name “Jokers”.

Whether soloist, rhythmist, accentuator, colorator or much more: the idea behind this new line-up is the spontaneous interplay of musical roles. Each of the three members can take on the role of the others and thus give the musical direction an unexpected turn at any time. Even the personal characteristics of each individual are given a special position here, as it is precisely this “chemical” component that works together to make every performance a unique and exciting experience.

It is therefore not surprising that the choice of the band name with “Jokers” here less in meaning as a fictional villain of American comics, but more as a playing card that can not only replace any other but can also be used as the ultimate trump card at the same time.
